Community Focused, Family-Friendly Member's Club in Acocks Green
We are a family-run business with our heart in the community of Acocks Green. We aim to welcome and support the local residents of Acocks Green and their families. We provide a flexible, versatile area to come and relax amongst family & friends.
The club is frequented by many local groups such as the local Scouts Group, The Friends of Acocks Green group, Sewing Club & Art Classes.
We have a function room offering multiple options for functions of all types. Our club is the proud host to a whole range of local sporting teams. You are always welcome as a member to come along and join in, or simply show your support for our teams.
Spending and sharing time with family & friends in a safe & welcoming local environment is what we aim to provide for our Members here at The Grange.
We support many local charities and host a variety of fund-raising events throughout the year. We regularly hold MacMillan Coffee Morning fundraisers, support the Alzheimer Charity with our members doing sponsored walks, we have fancy dress events to support Children In Need, to name but a few.
- HISTORY OF THE CLUB -
The Grange Club was originally the site of 2 cottages. The 1871 census lists twenty properties on Broad Road with Number 11 being named Sunnyside and number 13 being named Oak Cottage. By 1949, Number 11 had been a dentist's surgery for half a century & Number 13 had become the Grange Social Club.
The current owners purchased The Grange Social Club in January 2016 and it became The Grange Member’s Club. Major refurbishment was completed to The Sports Bar by August of that year. The small kitchen was completely overhauled to transform it into a professional kitchen space by 2017. Ongoing refurbishment and redecoration is planned for the rest of the building.
